Summer is here, flying outdoors rules!

The field at Addison Oaks is now open for business.

Please remember a few small things we need to do:

· Sign in when you get to the field. It is a requirement this year and indicates you will abide by the safety regulations posted on the shed door for all to see. This is a pro-active move for the county officials so they can honestly state they know we are flying safely.

· Get a frequency pin if you are not on 2.4 Gh

· Do not run the winch or retrievers unless you have been trained and get certified.

The new hands-off retriever is up and running and very safe to operate. We will probably put it on wheels soon after we get some time with it.

The biggest thing to remember:

We are a diverse group of individuals with a common interest in building and flying radio controlled "Winch Launched Sailplanes". We enjoy flying for the fun of it and in competitions around the country.

We are branching into "Electric Launched Sailplanes" and light weight electric powered sport planes in order to expand the reach of our club, but "Winch Launched Sailplanes" is our primary thrust.

We offer training to anyone interested in learning to fly with several of our trainers being veterans of many national competitions.

Visitors are always welcome!
