Wonderful Day for a Club Contest

04OC09

Some of the contestants on this chilly and windy day getting ready to do combat. Eight of us came out to do battle and really had a great time in spite of the weather.  At times it is better to be with your buds than home doing "stuff".
Chris Corven doing a practice flight on his Sharron 3.7 (a truly great plane) and he was the  eventual winner for the day. On the right- more mashing of teeth on the event that Dave called for the day. It was a 21 Q-max so it became a real landing contest (as they all are).
Left.-"CD Dave Corven "showing off the field of moldies that are ready for competition today.  Rt-Hutch did his first "Dork" landing ever for a big fat zero for landing. I do not now if this was the landing that let me whip his butt, but I will take it.

October Club Meeting

Dave Corven explaining to the "guy's" his new design which will be a big "Sharon Like" wing on a "Supra Like" fuse but all of it will be original and Dave is now carving the plug. Look for a new super sailplane next summer.
Tom LaCalve with his new foamie park flyer. I think it was a SWOS (Stand way-off scale) of a Navy plane but I do not remember which one. The flying wing structure on the table is one that Barney brought in to give away.

 February Makeup Contest held 25OC09

As you can see the weather today was rather nice for Michigan this time of year. Roger (sitting) was the CD for the day. RT.- Chris Corven and Brent Robinson both flying the new Sprite from Kennedy Composites did very well with a 1st and 3rd.
Gerry Marcicki showing the latest in flying  attire. My guess is he got up late and did not have time to change from his PJ's.
LT.- Greg getting Lunch and Rt.- Our CD Roger is all smiles and happy he made us fly a lot today in a ladder contest.
    LUNCH!
