 2010 February Club Activities

Fun at USA - the Ultimate Soccer Arena

Dave Corven with his new plane. It is a takeoff of the Arrow with some Dave mods and it looks like it will be a good ship once Dave gets it trimmed out a little. Should be very 3D capable.
The club within GDSHS. Belger, Bill and Wolf taking a break from taking a break.
       Our fantastic VP, the Barnster
Down on my end of the field, we do helis. This is a Flasher 450 with a lot of upgraded parts, it now sounds and flys just fine. Larry is in the flip and roll stage, which is about all you can do in the limited space.
One of the hot pilots doing his thing.

Heli's are not for those that do not like to tinker, fix, modify, improve, etc., etc., etc.

Brian is always "making it better".

February Club Meeting

Roger is becoming the man to go to for club stuff and especially anything involving DLG
Charlie is one happy guy or at least someone made a funny. Speaking of funny, do you think the Corven Twins have a secret body position for meetings?
The "Barnstrer" gave a great presentation on RPV's and their uses. Some of the military stuff is just fantastic.

Bruce is always making very nice little planes and this foamier is a "Kind-0f-Cessna". Bruce brought in the bending fixture he made to put the camber in the wings and told us the process he uses to get a good bend in the De pron that holds it shape well.

Bruce is surly on of the better builders in the club.

Dave Corven showed off his "Arrow-Like" design. Looks great but Dave is having problems flying it well- he said it is evil.

Apparently it is a rudder-to-turn airplane and the ailerons have a great amount of adverse yaw making smooth laps around the arena a little tough. I am confident he will get it working well

Ken is holding a small wing tip done on Chris Corven's CNC foam wing cutter. Chris reports that it really takes a lot of trials and software tweaking but the results are just fantastic. One of the most perfect cores I have ever seen.
Chris and his plugs laying on the table that will be used to make molds for a couple of new ships he is going to build. So far the work is coming nicely and the plugs look just great.
