March 2006 Contest Report

CD Gerry Marcicki

The weather started out cool (about 25 degrees) but by 11:30 AM we were in a full sunny day and headed for 45 degrees with wind light and variable from the West.

I was designated the contest director via the Internet and the contest call was given to me via the Internet. I was requested to run a three-hour contest where the best flight of no longer than twenty minutes plus landing would win. Double points per second were deducted if the contestant went over twenty minutes.

The flying conditions were very tough at first but Jack Iafret hit the twenty-minute max with a 67 landing. He then proceeded to max five more times throughout the day!!!

Paragons Forever!!!

Around noon the sky began to create a lot of lift and everyone began to get their twenty-minute max with landings.

The scores were real closely grouped and everyone who attended had a good overall score.

At the end of the day, everyone looked like they enjoyed themselves!!!
