October 2006 Club Contest Results
From the weather guy Dave Shaw, when will I learn don't volunteer. You would think after being volunteered for Nam twice I would learn, but Hutch volunteered me.
So after a brief 6 min. trim flight I called for 6,8 10 min. precision flights with open winch. Just call it when you land.
Under beautiful sunny skies and light winds 5 to 10 mph. we started. But some guy from AZ. who hasn't flown in two years and has a blockbuster card instead of his AMA card puts in a 10 (perfect) flight right off the bat. What a pleasure to see Chris Corven and his dad out at the field once again.
By the time we got to the third round, the winds were a steady 8 mph with gusts to 17.
Wisely some of us die hard core Woodie flier’s scratched the third round.
So here are the scores--- A perfect 3 rounds with landing would be 1740.
1 Chris (blockbuster card) Corven 1616
2 Mike Wade 1411
3 Steve (My plane needs trimming) 1280
4 Dave (Glad he's doing better) Corven 1267
