(Beer Cooler Shootout)

Roger Van Elslander is one happy dude today. Without his prodding the contest may not have happened. It was scheduled but no one was taking interest in making it happen so Roger stepped in and got the ball rolling.

We are all glad he did because it was a great contest for the club and spurred a  wave of excitement at the end of the year.

The crowd of flyers making sure the last landing was scored properly. It was a close contest and everyone got involved and helped it run smoothly.

Hutch's job was to keep all the kittens in the box at the winch and landing areas. A tough assignment. Everyone wanted to be part of the action.

The plane of choice for this "One Design" contest is the Multiplex "Easy Glider". The club purchased about 20 of these last year and they have proven to be a fun airplane and a one that takes more skill than you would think to make if fly well. Overall a very good trainer for learning the basics of a sailplane. John Ferguson had the hot thumbs for the first four rounds of the six round contest scoring 1000 points each round. Roy Shuller was the timer for this flight.
