EZG One Design Rules
For
GDS&HS

Spirit of the rules:

The GDSHS Easy Glider competition is created as a fun and cheap way to compete with our friends and encourage and welcome new modelers to the fun of competition. The stock
Multiplex Easy Glider (EZG) is the model of choice for its cost, durability and availability. The goal is to compete with models of equal performance and have fun. Modelers will be modelers and modifications or repairs are allowed as long as the competitor is not attempting to gain a hidden performance advantage.

As we grow the class we will learn what modifications are necessary to allow peak performance and durability. The rules below are designed to grow as the class grows and any canges or modifications agreed upon must be simple to perform by modeling standards and adaptable to existing Easy Glider models.

General:

- Only "Multiplex Easy Gliders" (known as EZG in this document) in basically stock form are acceptable, The E-power version of the EZG can compete with the prop removed.

- No reshaping of the wing, stab or fuse is permitted. Mold flash can be removed. It will be up to the contestant to prove that the surfaces are not modified (if protested in writing to
the CD) if the mold bumps are removed to the point that the injector pin circle is removed. This can be done with templates or any other logical methods of proof.

- 4 servos maximum.

- Minimum flying weight is 23 oz.

- Stock control surfaces only, same size, shape and material as supplied in the kit.

   Modifications allowed:

- Tow hook and placement can be modified to suite the individual pilot.

- Ballast must be completely internal.

- Wing and stab spars can be upgraded internally; no external spars can be added.

- Hinges can be repaired/replaced as necessary as long as the control surface gap and shape remains stock.
